Participating in a Street Race will reward the player with 50 LS Car Meet Reputation (75 first time), although this has a 24-hour cooldown before it is awarded again. These are listed in the "Races" list, with the "Street Race" prefix.

These shortcuts mostly include alleyways, uneven city streets, off-road paths, or narrow passages. These paths can shave seconds off the player's lap time, although they are usually harder to manoeuvre than the main route. There are also many spectators around the entire circuit, along with their parked cars crashing into these will not incur any penalties other than lost time.Įach race has a number of secondary routes, which serve as shortcuts. There is now paint on the ground marking the starting line and the grid, as well as a person starting the race with a unique animation.

The events behave similarly to normal land races, with a few differences. The host can also choose to include custom vehicles or not however, only tuners can be selected, which includes all cars added with the Los Santos Tuners update.

Hopefully we can turn this into something regular. The races are available for 2 to 8 players and the default lap count is 3, although the lobby host can set the duration up to 99 laps. Thank you to all the people who helped me set up, and the drivers who showed up and raced. Plan on doing another one soon, and to organise it more efficiently using the ideas we brainstormed in the retrospective. Overall the experience was good, there was some good enthusiasm from the drivers. You may see some frequencies in the screenshots, these are disposable so no worries.ġ) Our convoy of vehicles we used as part of setting up the course.Ĥ) Start of showing them around the course, and if you look carefully one of the trucks is there at the back with a small team monitoring the nearby traffic.ĥ) This image is very low res as I've zoomed on an existing screenshot to showcase another truck with a crew on standby.Ħ, 7) Showing them round the course, with an associate confirming directions over radio.Ĩ) We decided to do individual races where racers could race who they want, or similar vehicles etc, for bets or a friendly. The event as a whole was decent too, but there's room for improvement, there's some retrospective we did on the event, and we have got some good ideas for next time. Our first underground street racing event, the turn out was decent.
